Frequently Asked Questions

3D printing may not always be the best choice with regards to the environment. However, while the creation of products always comes at a cost, 3D printing does offer several clear advantages.

The concept "print on demand" means we only print what we will actually use, reducing unnecessary waste of mass production. In addition, items can be produced at any location with a 3D printer, reducing transport costs (both financial and ecological). Finally, plastic usage is a major concern and new bio-friendly materials are continuously developed. This includes better biodegradable plastics as well as incorporating more sustainable materials such as wood. We'd be happy to tell you more about this if interested.
For consumers, 3D printing allows you to rapidly and cost-effectively print unique and custom designs. This includes new designs from the ground up, or modifying and assessing changes to existing designs.

For businesses, 3D printing is an efficient way of creating custom designs. This includes items with your logo or company colors, custom items for events, or "fitted designs" that fit locations with a specific size.

Ecological advantages include the concept of "printing on demand", meaning you only create what you will actually use. In addition, new bio-friendly materials are continuously developed, increasing biodegradability and usage of renewable resources such as wood.
The current quality of 3D printing puts it just under high-end luxury products. In the past, 3D printed products showed clear signs, including grains or lines on the products, and the feeling of cheap plastic. Nowadays, people are often surprised and let out a "Oh, this is 3D printed?" while examining some of our samples.

If you want to assess the quality first hand, we offer a sample set for a small fee. We are also happy to swing by and show first hand what 3D printing is all about nowadays. Or, if you're ever near Uppsala, Sweden, swing by and grab some coffee with us :)
